Karasu swordworks is the development from Vass & Slipad. We are now concentrating on two parts: The craft of the japanese style sword and the use of it.

The name ”karasu” is japanese for raven or crow.

In japanese mythology ”karasu” was a tengu with a crows head and wings. They were believed to be wooden spirits, full of mischief but also knowledge and wisdom. They are thought of as legendary swordsmen and teachers of secret fighting skills.

In northern mythology we have the two ravens of Odin; Hugin and Munin, with means thought and memory. They were collectors of knowledge and the link between people and the gods.
